CALEOPE MERAKI

Caleope Meraki is a Washington D.C.-based writer, artist, and content creator. 


Caleope writes poetry and recently completed the first draft of her debut novel. A list of her publications is available here. She is a member of the Sancho Panza Literary Society, for which she serves as digital editor of the website, and was a member of the 2025 winter cohort for the Sophisticants Literary Residency at Trinity College Dublin.


As an artist, Caleope is an abstract film photographer, in addition to being well-versed in digital photography and portraiture, event, and conceptual photography. Lastly, Caleope is a content creator and runs an online gaming community for young adults. She streams video games on Twitch and runs The Cal SMP, a publicly joinable survival Minecraft server, with over 850 unique members during its lifetime. Her community is known as "The Calipolis," in homage to Plato's Kallipolis. She also posts content about writing, literature, gaming, and lifestyle on TikTok and Youtube. Her combined viewership exceeds 4,000.


Caleope holds a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University. When she's not working on her art, she can be found at the gym, caring for the menagerie of plants that's increasingly taking over her apartment, anthropomorphizing her beloved computer (Geraldine), or being an insufferable Beatnik.
